While one could argue they are a little late to the party, the Woodstock GA Downtown Merchants kickoff the 2010 Friday Night Live Series with a Mardi Gras on Main event featuring street musicians, artists and other Mardi Gras themed activities including a foot parade thru downtown to the Gazebo at City Park.
Most downtown Merchants will have special offerings throughout the evening and the Woodstock Market will have over 50 vendors selling items early on from 9am thru 5pm. The official proceedings will begin at 5pm and last until approximately 9pm culminating in the crowning of a King & Queen at the park- the public is encourages to dress in their best Mardi Gras attire. Other events in the 2010 Friday Night Live series include 80s night, Seite de Mayo, Electric Luau, Summer of Love, The Great Downtown Tailgate and Oktoberfest. These theme nights are the first Friday of each month and begin at 5pm with Live Music, Fantastic Food and Festive Activities, according to the Woodstock Downtowner. So skip the malls and have some fun downtown!
