Wednesday Weekly Buyer Specials

Time for another edition of our new weekly feature- we’ve once again reviewed corporate-owned, lender-owned and foreclosure properties that have come on market in the last seven days in Woodstock, North Fulton and East Cobb County- here are the results:

Woodstock Homes for Sale

North Fulton Homes for Sale

East Cobb Homes for Sale

Our favorite “pick” this week is a foreclosure in Chastain Lakes, a Kennesaw neighborhood near I-575 at Chastain Road.  The home is 4 bedrooms with 5 full baths and one half-bath- at almost 3000 sq ft plus a finished basement and an assessed value of $301,000, it’s worth a look!

Remember, as always, that these “deals” aren’t always what they seem- sometimes banks and corporations list their homes at or near market value regardless of their condition, so you always want to make sure you know what other homes have sold for in the neighborhood/area and how the neighborhood/area is trending in value.

Milton Farmers Market open Saturdays in Crabapple

Filed under: Milton, North Atlanta — Tags: , — Kathy and Ben @ 12:43 pm

We recently told you about the Woodstock GA Farmers Market open throughout the summer.  Thanks to The Milton Herald, we’ve learned about another local Farmers Market, this one in Milton.  Unlike it’s organized sister in Woodstock, the Milton Farmers Market began when longtime resident Ginger Enloe was speaking with Ron Wallace, owner of the Olde Blind Dog Irish Pub.  He was a fan of the Farmers Market concept and has allowed the use of nearby property he owns.  So look for the Farmer’s Market behind the Old Blind Dog Pub on Crabapple Road near Birmingham Highway.

The market was a success last year and hopes for another good year- the market will open July 10th and will operate on Saturdays thru August 28.  The hours each week will be 9am – 1pm and is intended as a low-cost means for local growers to showcase their produce.

Free Concert July 10 – Woodstock GA

Filed under: North Atlanta, Woodstock — Tags: , — Kathy and Ben @ 12:51 pm

The Woodstock GA Free Concert Series continues on July 10 at 7:30 featuring The Atlanta Rhythm Section and 3 Hump Wump as the opening act.  The Atlanta Rhythm Section features music from the Southern Rock and the Classic Rock scenes.  Based in Altanta actually Doraville, ARS are comtempories of Lynyrd Skynyrd and other Southern Rock bands.  As accomplished studio musicians and in back bands of noted artists, ARS did not start our to be rock and roll stars.  Influenced by music coming for England, shared music styling with the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac, they did break into the big time and became rock and roll stars.  Atlanta Rhythm Sections biggest hits included “Imaginary Lover” and “So Into You”.  My personal faviorite song….”Spooky”.

3 Hump Wump…well what can you say with a name like are three guys out to entertain you and have some fun.  Each member has played in bands all over the Southeast.  Their mixture of great rock and roll classics and newer country songs should be fun for everyone.

Find the lawn chairs, bring a picnic, and come enjoy another great concert in Woodstock, GA.
